Say hello! Introduce yourself!
davis - Monday, July 14th, 2008 7:17 AM PDT
Well, J Neo Marvin got together with an old friend making a comeback, Meri St. Mary, and together they played a series of songs from both of their catalogs and one from the Mekons for the SPIKE Memorial at the Lennon Studios on July 5, 2008. SPIKE would be proud! http://www.earcandleproductions.com/Hardv2.mov davis - Wednesday, June 4th, 2008 11:40 PM PDT New Blame SF song called 'Get Out" directed toward those who need to leave. Hi Everyone. The Blame, located in San Francisco, just uploaded their latest rant about this current administration. It is called "Get Out". The Blame is one of our Ear Candle Productions bands and you get to hear it first. This is unreleased and can only be heard where we post it. Players are J Neo Marvin, Davis Jones, and guest artist Stereo Steve. Here is the link. http://www.earcandleproductions.com/Get_Out.mp3 We are proud of this one! Feedback anyone? But if you know what we mean, have seen we have seen, you will understand. If not, get noodlebrained, in my not so humble opinion (IMNSHO)! smiles, davis and neo J Neo Marvin - Saturday, May 10th, 2008 10:59 AM PDT Thanks to all our new listeners on Ear Candle Radio. We are building our new playlist and recording our DJ segments right now and the whole show should be up and running by the end of the week! We have added all manner of great new material, and have even created a collage of excerpts from Chris Hedges' book, WAR IS A FORCE THAT GIVES US MEANING, interspersed with appropriate songs by Mark Stewart, Killing Joke, Martha & the Vandellas, the Kinks, and many more. We hope you stick around for the fruits of our labor, and as always, be sure to vote on what you hear using the Live 365 player. We need your input to compile our charts! davis - Monday, October 1st, 2007 11:31 PM PDT Check out the Top 20 that comes out monthly on Ear Candle Radio. Send your CD if you think it will fit into our style. We are brain food... firing up the brain... spilling culture all over da place... get some. tune in.... I have traveled in over 40 countries and as I now fly mostly in US, I now realize that the majority of poor countries make it easier to travel by air. I'm not sure their is a way to "win" a war against terror, a blind enemy that GB, jr has used to instill fear. Todd Elkin - Monday, January 22nd, 2007 9:29 AM PST Hey Neo-I just discovered the exciting realm of the ear candle website. Haven't set up my 365 radio player to listen yet -but I will! Didn't see you, but I heard your friendly heckling voice at the Slits SF show. Take care-see you soon. Paul sent me a message about a year ago, which inspired me to dig deeper and find some vintage Prisoners shots. Those were great days in Santa Cruz, circa 1978-80. To come of age at a time where history was being made all around you...and not in the form of war or disaster, but fun and culture...it was a great time. The response to the Punk Rock Scrapbook at http://www.jneomarvin.com/scrap.htm has been overwhelming. So many long-lost acquaintances and appreciative strangers. I am now working on expanding this piece of the website into a book, A Voyeur At The Revolution, including a lot more pictures and a lot more writing. Again, thanks for writing, Lili. Hope the noble city of Baltimore is being good to you. My wife and partner at Ear Candle, Davis Jones, is from there. Not to mention Linda Smith and John Waters. marqui aka lili lazer - Wednesday, July 26th, 2006 2:25 AM PDT tell me it's not nostalgia, just a muggy sleepless nite... your photos made me smile from the inside and .... so Neo, hello from baltimore! Guillaume Apollinaire - Monday, June 19th, 2006 6:43 PM PDT I said that! davis - Wednesday, June 14th, 2006 10:26 PM PDT Come to the edge he said. They were afraid. Come to the edge he said. They came. He pushed them. They flew. - Who is the author of this brilliant bit of pruning? Win a free videotaping session... if ya can tell us who wrote this piece and its name.
